Fort Leonard Wood is a United States Army installation located in the Missouri Ozarks. It is named after Major General Leonard Wood, who was a Medal of Honor recipient and a physician. The fort was established in 1940 and has since become one of the premier training sites for the U.S. Army.

The installation is also home to a number of unique and historical landmarks, such as the World War II Museum Complex, the Engineer Memorial Grove, and the Military Police Memorial Grove.

In addition to its military training facilities, Fort Leonard Wood offers a variety of recreational activities for soldiers and their families. The installation has multiple fitness centers, a water park, a skeet range, and an outdoor adventure program. The surrounding area also offers outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, and hunting.
